Five-star luxury Rocco Forte hotel The Augustine Prague is situated in the heart of historical city centre, in the immediate neighbourhood of the famous Prague Castle. The 101-room property is created from a complex of five buildings, most of which are historical landmarks. The largest and the most important structure is the Monastery of St. Thomas, which dates back to the 13th century.
The monastery building provides the hotel with a picturesque setting of established courtyards and elegant garden squares, while retaining certain areas for the practicing Augustine monks.
Key historic features such as cloistered terraces, wooden ceilings, stone arches, wine vaults and an early 16th century beer cellar are incorporated into the hotel design. New additions include a tranquil courtyard entrance (accessible by a car from Letenska street) and a glassed-in courtyard, which becomes the main restaurant of the hotel, complete with 2 protected trees.
The average guest-room size is approx. 45 square meters. The hotel has 30 % suites - junior suites, executive suites and de-luxe suites + honeymoon suite and presidential suite of almost 170 square meters! Guest rooms provide views onto the courtyards, the neighbouring St. Thomas Church and the Prague Castle.
The Augustine Hotel Prague offers a 90-seat restaurant designed in one of the spectacular cloister gardens. A bar with frescoed ceilings occupies the monastery's barrel-vaulted double-height hall with views on to one of the gardens and outside seating on the cloister terrace in summer. A second bar-restaurant is also available and offers capacity of 130 seats.
